My second destination is fueled with curiosity. Ever since I was a young boy I have always been infatuated with the Pyramids of Giza. There are so many interesting things about them, such as how they are positioned perfectly true north, the coordinates equalling the speed of light, and also how the ancient Egyptians had the technology to build these structures. I will go there to try to come to my own conclusion and also speak to the locals and see what they think. My flight will leave Barcelona at 4:25 PM and I will arrive in Egypt at 8:35 PM.
When I arrive in Egypt I will be staying at the Marriott Mena House. It is positioned perfectly on the outskirts of the city with a perfect view of the Pyramids. It is also very safe since it is a gated area and it will be a nice retreat from the hectic city of Cairo. When I arrive at the hotel I will have dinner and get some sleep to be ready for a busy day tomorrow.

Although this will be extremely difficult and it will take every ounce of courage and strength I have. I believe I have the confidence and resilience to complete this challenging task and I think it will be a memory for my lifetime. There are some things I have to worry about when doing this, such as altitude sickness. Since I am taking the Northern Circuit route I will have an increase success rate due to the nature of the route. This will be a little bit longer of a route and the purpose of this is to help the hiker acclimatize easier in these high altitudes. I am looking forward to this journey but also quite nervous.
I will fly from Dubai at 6:55 am and I will have a connecting flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, it will arrive at 11:10 am and I will have a 5-hour layover. My next flight will be at 4:30 pm and I will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport at 5:30 pm. When I arrive I will be picked up by my tour group.
